Playgrounds are personal for us.
A family-owned recreation installation company serving the Southeast.
Who we are
We're Pro Play Recreation, a family-owned playground and recreation installation company based in Jefferson, Georgia. Greg and Rachael Copponex lead a full-time, in-house team that installs playgrounds, shade and shelter, surfacing, and park amenities for communities across Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, and North Carolina.
Our Story
Our founder's father-in-law, Larry, had been building playgrounds since the late 1970s. His daughter, Rachael, and our founder, Greg Copponex, carried on that work, which has now become Pro Play Recreation. This is their playground story.
In March 2010, Greg and Rachael lost their son, Tripp, to SIDS at just two and a half months old.
Not long after, their neighborhood HOA asked us to install a playground for the community. Greg and Rachael had no idea what the neighbors were planning. At the grand opening, the park was dedicated to Tripp.
Children have been playing there ever since.
"Now, with what happened with Tripp, we have a playground story. And it's kind of put into perspective for us the communities that we go into, how there's a PTA mom who's got an autistic son, or a community with a lot of handicap-accessible needs. Every playground we go install has a story like that, where there's often years in the making of trying to bring their vision to life for the kids of that community."
— Greg Copponex
Our core values
Our mission is simple: build people and communities. Our values — spelling PLAY — guide how we get there.
People Come First
Our team, our customers, and the kids who'll use the playground — every decision starts with them.
Leave a Legacy
We build spaces that outlast us. Every install is meant to serve a community for decades.
Accept Responsibility
We own the work — the timeline, the safety, the finish. If something's off, we make it right.
Yes You Can
We meet ambitious visions with "how do we make this happen," not a list of reasons it won't work.

What we do
Recreation installation is our craft. We install playground systems, shade and shelter structures, safety surfacing, and park amenities — turning approved plans into finished spaces communities can use the day we hand them over.
