Finished before the buses come back.
Planned backward from the first bell.
The schedule is the whole job.
We Plan Backward
We start from the date students return and work back through inspection, surfacing cure, install, site prep, equipment delivery, purchase order, and approval. If the window doesn't close, we'll tell you in the first conversation instead of the last one.
An Open-Source Installer
We're not tied to a manufacturer — whatever the district specified or already owns, we install it, any brand, any surfacing system. And it's one crew for the whole scope: demo, concrete, surfacing, equipment, shade, and amenities. On a ten-week window, every handoff between contractors is a place the schedule can slip, and we've removed most of them.
Certified Crews
Factory-trained installers with CPSI-credentialed inspectors on the crew. Installed to manufacturer specification and to ASTM F1487, with an inspection report for your file at closeout.
Purchasing-Office Ready
Bid responses, purchase orders, cooperative contract documentation, insurance certificates, and W-9s. Whatever your business office needs, in the format it needs it, without three rounds of email.
Ready before the first bell.
Summer is short and every installer in the Southeast is booked into it. If you want the work finished before students come back, the conversation starts in the fall — not in April.
-
Fall — walk the site.
Access, grade, drainage, what's salvageable, what has to come out. This is also when we can tell you whether the number you have is the number the job costs.
-
Fall to winter — approval and funding.
Board approval, bond or grant timing, and PTA fundraising all move slower than anyone plans for. Building the schedule around them is the difference between a summer install and a fall one.
-
Winter — purchase order and equipment order.
Equipment lead time is the constraint on the whole project. Once the PO is cut and the order is placed, the rest of the schedule becomes real.
-
Late spring — site prep and mobilization plan.
Staging, access routes, and which parts of campus have to be closed. Agreed with your facilities staff before the last bell, not during the first week of the install.
-
Summer — install.
Demo, concrete, equipment, surfacing, amenities. Sequenced so surfacing has the cure time it needs before anyone walks on it.
-
Before students return — inspection and handoff.
Final safety inspection, documentation for your file, and a walkthrough with your facilities staff and whoever supervises recess.
What we install on a campus.
Playground equipment installation
Age-separated structures for 2–5 and 5–12, freestanding play, and inclusive components. Certified installation to manufacturer spec.
Safety surfacing
Poured-in-place rubber, bonded rubber, tile, engineered wood fiber, and synthetic turf, installed to the fall height your equipment requires and to ASTM F1292.
Accessible routes and ADA compliance
Accessible routes into and through the use zone, transfer stations, ramps, and landings.
Shade structures
Freestanding and equipment-mounted, engineered for local wind and snow load. Increasingly the first thing a district adds when heat policy changes.
Courts and outdoor recreation
Basketball, pickleball, court striping, gaga ball, 9-square, and outdoor fitness.
Outdoor classrooms and seating
Pavilions, shelters, benches, and tables for instructional and cafeteria overflow use.
Park amenities
Benches, tables, waste receptacles, bike racks, and wayfinding signage.
Concrete work
Footings, flatwork, containment curbing, borders, and accessible walks.
Demolition and removal
Old equipment, failed surfacing, and existing concrete, hauled off. Usually phase one of a replacement.
If it belongs on a play space or a campus recreation area, we can install it. If it's outside our scope, we'll say so and tell you who does it well.
Built around the school calendar.
Site Walk
We walk the campus with you, look at access, grade, drainage, and staging, and tell you what the site is going to demand. Bring your facilities director if you can.
Budget Number
A real number you can take into a capital request, a bond package, a grant application, or a PTA campaign — broken out by scope so you can phase it if you need to.
Procurement
Whichever path you're using, we produce what your business office needs: bid response, cooperative documentation, or a sub package for your GC.
Install
Scheduled inside your window, with staging and access agreed with your facilities staff before we mobilize. Campus areas outside the work zone stay usable.
Inspection & Handoff
Final safety inspection, warranty and maintenance documentation, and a walkthrough with your facilities staff and the people supervising recess.
We respond to every project inquiry within two business days.
The documentation your file needs.

Common questions from schools.
Can you finish over summer break?
Usually, if the equipment order is placed early enough. Crew availability is rarely the constraint — equipment lead time is. That's why the fall conversation matters more than the spring one.
Tell us your return date and we'll tell you the last honest date to place an order and still make it.
What if the project can't be finished before students return?
Then we plan it as a phased or fenced install rather than pretending. We'll fence and contain the work area, sequence so the play space opens as soon as it's safe and inspected, and coordinate with your staff on supervision and routes. What we won't do is promise a date we can't hold.
Who inspects the finished playground?
Your authority having jurisdiction inspects and has the final say. We build to ASTM F1487 and manufacturer specification, we have CPSI-credentialed inspectors on the crew, and we'll walk the site with your inspector at closeout. We don't approve anything — we make sure there's nothing to flag.
Do we have to replace the equipment, or can it be relocated?
Sometimes it can be relocated, and it's worth asking before you budget for new. Whether it's worth doing depends on the age of the structure, whether hardware and parts are still available, and whether it still meets current standards for the age group using it. We'll tell you honestly at the site walk — including when the answer is that moving it costs more than it's worth.
Can our PTA fund part of it?
Frequently, and often as a match against district money. The thing that makes it work is phasing the build so early fundraising buys something visible — parents give again when they can see what the last campaign built. Our school resources go into the mechanics.
What surfacing should we use?
It depends on budget, maintenance capacity, and accessibility requirements. Poured-in-place rubber costs more up front, lasts longest, and is the easiest to keep ADA-compliant. Engineered wood fiber is far cheaper but needs topping off and raking to hold its depth, which becomes your custodial staff's job.
We'll lay out the trade-offs honestly rather than steering you to the expensive one.
Planning for next summer?
The schools that get their playground finished before August started talking to us the previous fall. Tell us your campus, your return date, and roughly what you have to work with, and we'll tell you whether the timeline is real and what it takes to hold it. We respond within two business days.
