We assess the grade of the site to make sure the structure will sit level and that water won't pool under the play area.

Excavation

We remove soil and grade the area to the correct depth for your surfacing type and footer requirements.

Equipment Prep

Decks get drilled, hardware gets sorted, and pre-assembly work happens before anything goes vertical. This is where we set ourselves up to build fast and right.

Confirm Location

We finalize exactly where the playground will be placed on your property, accounting for sight lines, drainage, and accessibility.

Mark Playground Edges

We stake out the perimeter so the crew knows exactly where excavation begins and ends.

Equipment Layout

We stage components on-site in the order they'll be installed — so the build flows efficiently and nothing gets in the way.

This is the phase most people picture when they think "installation day." The playground takes shape here — from posts in the ground to decks in the air to slides, climbers, and everything in between. Our crew works methodically through each connection to make sure everything is plumb, aligned, and solid before we lock it in.

Dig Holes

Post holes are dug to the specified depth based on the equipment layout and local frost/soil requirements.

Place Posts

Structural posts go into position. This is the skeleton of your playground — getting it right here matters most.

Build Deck Connections

Ramps, tubes, stairs, and bridges connect the platforms — these transitions are what make the playground feel like one cohesive experience.

Adjust Structure

Before anything is locked in, we check the full structure for plumb and alignment. This is our quality checkpoint — we fix it now, not later.

Set Anchor Blocks

Foundation blocks are placed to position each post correctly before concrete is poured.

Attach Decks

Platform decks are connected to the posts at the correct heights, forming the elevated play surfaces.

Attach Accessories

Slides, climbers, and transition elements go on last, completing the play experience.

Once the structure is in position and verified, we make it permanent. Concrete footers anchor every post in place. This phase is quick but critical — it's what keeps your playground safe and stable for years to come.

Final Plumb & Level Check

We verify every post is perfectly vertical and every deck is level before a single bag of concrete is mixed. No shortcuts.

Pour Concrete Footers

Each post is secured with concrete poured to the required depth and mix — locking the structure in place for the long haul.

Backfill Footers

Once cured, footer holes are backfilled and compacted flush with the surrounding grade.

Heads up: Concrete needs cure time before the area is usable. We'll communicate exactly when the site will be ready for the next phase — and when kids can get on the equipment.

Surfacing is one of the most important safety decisions in a playground project. Whether you're getting poured-in-place rubber, engineered wood fiber, or another material, this phase ensures the fall zone meets safety standards and holds up over time.

Install Border or Mark Curb Location

We establish the perimeter edge that contains your surfacing material — whether that's a timber border, concrete curb, or another edging solution specified in your scope.

Install Surfacing

Your surfacing material — engineered wood fiber, shredded rubber, or poured-in-place rubber — is installed to the required depth for the fall height of your equipment.

Poured-in-place rubber note: If your project includes poured-in-place rubber surfacing, this material is highly sensitive in the first 24 hours after installation. The area must remain completely closed off — no foot traffic, no animals — until it has fully cured. We'll coordinate closely with you on this timing.

This is where a great installation gets its polish. Every bolt gets a final torque. Every surface gets cleaned. Every safety label goes on exactly where it belongs. We don't hand off a playground that looks like a job site — we hand off one that looks ready for its first day of play.

Install Finish Components

HDPE panels, caps, gizmos, and any remaining decorative or functional pieces are attached and secured.

Tighten All Bolts

Every single bolt on the structure gets a final torque check. No exceptions.

Remove Spoils

All excavated material and construction debris is removed from the site.

Clean Equipment

The structure is wiped down and cleaned — because first impressions matter.

Touch-Up Paint

Any areas where paint was scratched or scuffed during installation get touched up to match.

Apply Stickers & Safety Labels

All required safety labels and age-range signage are applied per manufacturer and ASTM guidelines.

We don't just finish and leave. The final phase is about making sure you're fully satisfied — that the site is clean, the playground is exactly what was promised, and you know everything you need to maintain it well. Your walkthrough is your chance to ask every question before we pack up.

Final Site Cleanup

All trash, packaging, and construction materials are consolidated and removed from the property.

Crew Walkthrough & Photos

Our crew does a full final inspection of the completed structure before we invite you out — including documentation photos for the project record.

Customer Final Walkthrough

We walk the finished playground with you, answer any questions, and make sure you're 100% happy before we leave the site.
